Skills For Life - Bronze: -  is our follow on to our Puppy School class or those who have attended something similar.

 

The course is designed to help the puppies/young dogs to build self-control & focus whilst continuing their socialisation and general training. In addition we focus on various life skills that are so important for our dogs to become well adjusted/behaved dogs.

 

Course content includes but not limited to:-

 

• Focus exercises

• Settling in distracting environments

• Loose lead walking

• Wait/Stay with distractions

• Leave

• Life Skills - Door Manners, Road Manners, Go to bed, Park

• Recall with increasing distractions

• and many more useful skills and techniques for you and your dog

 

The course lasts for 6 weeks comprising of weekly 1hr classes in small groups (max 5 dogs), all techniques used are reward based using kind and effective training methods.  The course costs £100 for the six week course, notes to accompany the class lessons are provided weekly.  On completion of the course all puppies will receive a graduation certificate and rosette.

Skills For Life - SILVER

​

This is our follow on Class from our Bronze class, the Silver Class will build on and consolidate what was learnt from our Bronze class, with the emphasis on building you and your dogs skills around distractions. 

​

Course content includes but not limited to:-

• Loose lead walking

• Wait/Stay with distractions

• Leave with distractions

• Canine Initiated Learning - particularly helpful for the busy/unfocussed dog

• Recall with increasing distractions - including Emergency stop

• Mental enrichment exercises

• Canine First Aid

• Tricks each week building to learn how to chain tricks, i.e. dog puts toys away, get laundry from basket and many more useful skills and techniques for you and your dog

The course lasts for 6 weeks comprising of weekly 1hr classes in small groups (max 5 dogs), all techniques used are reward based using kind and effective training methods. In addition we will have 2 sessions in a secure field to practise the exercises in real life.

The course costs £100 for the six week course, notes & training plan to accompany the class lessons are provided weekly. 

​

On completion of the course all puppies will receive a graduation certificate and rosette.

* Please note all dogs must be comfortable being around humans and dogs to attend, and have attended our Bronze class.
